Green Infrastructure Audit is complete

Earlier this year Stratford Original commissioned LUC to carry out a Green Infrastructure Audit. The purpose of the work is to identify and prioritise opportunities to increase green cover across the BID area. We are pleased to announce the report has now been published.

Earlier this year Stratford Original commissioned LUC to carry out a Green Infrastructure Audit.  The overarching aim of the audit is to identify and prioritise opportunities to increase green cover across the BID area. These projects can be used as an opportunity to bring in additional funding towards delivery.

In Stratford there is an interest in increasing the green infrastructure in order to:

  • Increase accessibility to green spaces for people living and working in, and visiting, Stratford
  • Reduce the impacts of air pollution
  • Increase the aesthetic appeal of the area
  • Provide opportunities for community involvement
  • The report also provides a brief evaluation of the functions and benefits of the existing green infrastructure in the area.

The report was commissioned in partnership with the GLA and the Brixton BID.
