Stratford Original is seeking a Placemaking Project Manager. This is a part time position – 3 days per week with a yearly salary of £32,000 to £35,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience. More information about Stratford Original and the role is below:

Set up in April 2015, Stratford Original Business Improvement District (BID), is a business-led organisation working to improve Stratford Town Centre for its businesses. It is a not for profit organisation funded and led by the local business community to deliver place management and place making initiatives. It works with statutory organisations to make Stratford better for business.

The BID is structured around four key priorities:

1.     Doing Business - giving Stratford businesses new opportunities to work together to cut costs using joint buying power


2.     Promoting Stratford - promoting the area’s unique identity and encourage visitors and residents to explore and spend in Stratford


3.     Safer Stratford – working alongside our businesses and government bodies to make Stratford a safer place for our businesses


4.     Welcoming – implementing placemaking strategies to help improve the look and feel of Stratford’s Town Centre.

Stratford Original is seeking to appoint a part time Placemaking Project Manager to organise and manage a variety of placemaking projects, and to be innovative in conceiving new project ideas.

The successful candidate will have experience of project management within a small business environment. You will have the ability to work flexibly in a team, including with representatives from businesses. You will of course have strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks. Ideally you will have prior knowledge of Business Improvement Districts.
