BID's update

BID's update from 24/03/2020
Lockdown, business support, levy demand information.
25 March 2020

Dear all,

The coronavirus outbreak is of huge concern to us all. These uncertain times can be challenging and difficult for businesses, employers and employees and I wanted to reassure you that the wellbeing of our members, employees and those who enjoy Stratford is at the centre of everything we do.

As your BID, we have already put in place a number of measures to deal with this evolving situation. To ensure you have the latest business guidance, we have created the new page COVID-19 on our website. Following the recent announcement of a national lockdown, we encourage all of our members and their staff to strictly follow government guidelines. Also, please continue to check our website. This is updated daily and we encourage you to check it regularly for the most up to date information for business, including grants and loan schemes, official guidance and advice from various sources. More updates can also be found on our twitter page @StratfordOrig and on the newly created website www.businesssupport.gov.uk

Stratford Original will continue to adhere with government advice and commit to lobbying the Government to protect the business community, to keep you informed on the latest development and to continue delivering value to all our members. Whilst we are already making adjustments to our initiatives and services, we are working hard on a revised programme of delivery to help our Stratford businesses bounce back once the situation improves.

The Executive Team and BID Board are working closely to adapt the business plan for the next months and to provide the service you need in these challenging times. Please contact me directly gianluca.rizzo@stratfordoriginal.com with your views, suggestions and concerns on how the BID can be of support to your business.

Like many businesses, we are considering the best way to ensure funds for our continue operation, but also give consideration to the pressures you may have at this time. We are dedicated to following through our plans highlighted above which are currently focused on providing you support for the COVID-19 recovery.

As the billing process already started a few weeks ago, you should have received your levy demands or should receive these soon. We understand we are all going through a period of uncertainty and want to help you as much as possible by offering you flexibility with the payment terms should you need it to ease the financial pressure on your business. If this is something you are interested in please get in touch with me directly.

Stratford has always been a place in constant evolution with resilient businesses choosing our town centre as their home. In our recent ballot, we have committed to work with you to move Stratford forward. Whilst there will be disruption in the near future, we will go through this together as a business community and will continue our shared vision to move Stratford forward.
