E15 Jazz Sessions showcase live contemporary jazz from a mix of established international musicians and bright new talent in Stratford's regular jazz night.

Fri 24 Jan - Dominic Howles Quintet 

We begin the new year with an amazing evening of jazz inspired by classic hard bop and Blue Note sounds from the Dominic Howles Quintet. The line-up features incredible performers: flautist Gareth Lockrane, tenor saxophonist Dave O'Higgins, pianist Nick Tomalin and drummer Matt Fishwick, all led by Dominic on double bass.

Fri 14 Feb - Basil Hodge Quartet

Join us for a very special Valentine's Day edition of the E15 Jazz Sessions, with pianist Basil Hodge, leading Ed Jones on tenor saxophone, Dave Whitford on double bass and Winston Clifford on drums.

An exceptional performer and established composer, Basil has performed with some of leading UK players such as Jim MullenTony KofiDave O’HigginsPete Wareham and Renato D’Aiello.

Fri 13 Mar - Ese Okorodudu, Faye Patton & Michele Drees

As part of our celebrations for International Women's Day, Ese OkoroduduFaye Patton and Michele Drees will be taking the stage for a night of incredible music.

Musician, singer, songwriter and performer Ese's music is inspired by a range of legends, from Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone to Led Zeppelin via The Isley BrothersBowie, Prince, Skunk Anansie and Erykah Badu.

Fri 17 Apr - Esther Bennett & Hannah Horton Quartet

Singer Esther Bennett and Saxophonist Hannah Horton have joined forces to present a fabulous evening of music.

Fri 15 May - Sara Dowling Quartet

Sara Dowling is a jazz singer who is deeply inspired by the repertoire of the classic American songbook, her main influences being Sarah Vaughan and Betty Carter.

Fri 26 Jun - Paul Westwood & Rob Hervais-Adelman

Bass guitarist Paul Westwood and percussionist Rob Hervais-Adelman play a style of music that includes creative themes, powerful moods and distinctive performances. The two are particularly influenced by jazz, blues, rock, funk, Latin and world music.
