A month of free activities at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

All month long, the Park hosts free outdoor sports sessions – including yoga, running, basketball, cycling and exercise classes.

Find key dates and activities:

  • 12 July and 19 July - Stratford Summer Screen - IQL activities, free dance lessons from 5.30pm with Cut a Shine ceilidh troupe and swing dancing group Swing Patrol.
  • 13 July from 11am to 5pm on - East Village Summer Fete, free sporting and wellness activities. 
  • 18 – 21 July - UK Athletics Festival of Athletics, centred around London Stadium, it is a great chance for school children to be part of the London Boroughs Connect Relays. Women can also register for a once-in-a-lifetime Couch to 5k race. Register here. 
  • Free pay and ride cycling sessions: Get on your bike (or borrow one for a small fee) and explore Lee Valley VeloPark’s outdoor courses. Free pay and ride access will run on the Mountain Bike and road circuits from 2.30pm – 5.30pm on Thursday 18 July and 12noon – 4pm on Monday 22 July. You’ll need to quote ‘Active East’.
  • Free tennis court access: Turn up and quote ‘Active East’ to play for free at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre from 10am – 2pm on Friday 19 July and 10am – 2pm on Tuesday 23 July. Bring your own equipment or hire it at the venue for a small fee.
  • 27 and 28 July - National Park City’s waterways festival and the opening of the pontoon in the south of the Park, there’ll be free chances to get active on the water, including canoeing and rowing! All sessions are free but should be booked in advance, which you can do here.
