David Angol Quartet is the part of E15 Jazz Sessions which showcase live contemporary jazz from a mix of established international musicians and bright new talent in Stratford's regular jazz night.
8PM - 10PM Stratford Circus Arts Centre £10 IN ADVANCE/£12 ON THE DOOR

This Friday meet David Angol, a saxophonist bandleader, composer and session musician who was born in Preston to Dominican parents. He grew up listening to Reggae, Calypso, soul and Blues music and was heavily influenced by the music he was raised with.

David leads his own quartet, with Leon Daniel on piano, Neville Malcolm on double bass and Winston Clifford on drums. They play the music of the greats and his own original compositions.

David toured with the award-winning ‘Blue Note’ records group ‘US3’. He played and remains to play on the International and London Jazz circuits, alongside people such as Bobby Watson, Jools Holland, Bheki Mesleku, Ralph Moore, Jerry Bergonzi, Jean Toussaint, Kenny Garrett and Tony Kofi.

This session will be performed as part of the London Saxophone Festival.
