Newham’s Cultural Producers programme is a six month (part-time) in-depth training opportunity to help you enter the arts, heritage, health or environment sectors as a producer ready to put on a range of creative events or programming in the local community.
As one of the Cultural Producers on the programme, you will build up skills and knowledge through:
– Workshops and training delivered by industry experts covering topics from turning ideas into reality, managing budgets, leadership and engaging local audiences
– Mentoring and coaching
– Placement in a local organisation with a focus on events and programming in a community setting
– Opportunity to develop your own group event idea in collaboration with a community organisation with expert support
The programme is free and open to Newham residents aged 18-30 who have some experience working or volunteering in any cultural or arts-related organisation or project, and who have the passion and drive to pursue a career in this field.
You will receive a training bursary to support your time participating in all elements of the programme. Find out more here.
