Join us at the beautiful St John’s Churchyard in Stratford from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM for an afternoon dedicated to Wellbeing — this year’s event theme.

This free event will feature a variety of fun, relaxing, and inspiring activities designed to support your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Whether you’re looking to take part in an engaging game, a calming workshop, enjoy some live entertainment, or simply spend time with your neighbours, there will be something for everyone—children, adults, and families alike.

Activities will be spread across the churchyard and other nearby locations, hosted by local businesses and community groups who are passionate about making Stratford a healthier, happier place for all. We will release a dedicated map shortly, helping you to explore Original Stratford and exciting activities on the day!

On the same day, another popular event will also take place—the Dancing City festival, which we’re proud to sponsor! This year’s alfresco dance takeover will unfold in the Town Centre and The Source, featuring two powerful performances:

Fragments of Us – Celebrating the endless possibilities of Black masculinity, this dance-theatre performance combines fluid movement and poignant poetry to reveal snapshots of joy, struggle, love, and loss. With rhythmic beats and soulful expressions, it paints striking images of brotherhood and the richness of community, layered with personal storytelling to create a moving testimony to collective history and identity.

When Jazz Meets Hip Hop – The UEL Dance Collective has collaborated with Jade Hackett on a piece exploring the connection between Jazz (inspired by the Harlem Renaissance) and hip-hop culture. The performance delves into how both genres—musical languages of rebellion and empowerment—also bring joy, unity, and healing. Jazz remains a vital force in today’s culture, evolving alongside hip-hop into the future.

Come along to explore, connect, and celebrate community spirit in a welcoming and inclusive setting. No registration is required— but we would appreciate if you would which would help us to prepare for the day. We can’t wait to see you there!
