This year’s theme, Small Business – Big Community, highlights the vital role of community support. Taking place on Saturday, 7 December, the campaign aims to create a lasting impact by promoting local spending, which drives economic growth and community resilience.
This was showcased earlier this year when the Market Village in Stratford, supported by traders, the community, the Mayor, and Council staff, safeguarded over 100 jobs and this local cultural heritage. Small businesses are the backbone of the local economy, acting as community hubs and providing strength during challenging times.
“We all stuck together, all the traders here stuck together. It was lovely – a big surprise. People have missed us so much.” The Central Cafe – Angie
We encourage local businesses to join the campaign by signing up for the Small Business Finder and using the Marketing Pack through their My Small Business portal. Shoppers are encouraged to support local businesses throughout the festive season and beyond.
