Works around Maryland Station

Over the past four months contractors FM Conway who were appointed by Newham Council have been working to spruce up and make safer the area around Maryland station with improved layout and footways. Some local businesses might be affected by the works around the station, thus the site team has been communicating with them to lessen the impact.

Some local businesses might be affected by the works around the station, thus the site team has been communicating with them to lessen the impact. The safety of residents and workers is a priority during the improvements being undertaken.

Here you will find the highlights of work in specific locations:

  • Leytonstone Rd, between the junction of Forest Lane & Luxembourg Mews

We expect that works at this location will start in November. The removal of the roundabout will start at the same time, although this depends on the BT work which is currently underway at the junction of Forest Lane.

  • Maryland Point - junction with Manbey Park Road

Due to the proximity of the railway bridge, this requires specific working methods and safety considerations. For this reason, it is likely that some barriers will remain for longer than three weeks. Later we will be installing two bespoke planters at this location.

  • Shopfronts - Mosaic Feature

Most of the mosaic feature outside shopfronts is completed
