Join us at the beautiful St John’s Churchyard in Stratford, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, for an afternoon dedicated to wellbeing — the theme of this year’s event.

This free event will feature a variety of fun, relaxing, and inspiring activities designed to support your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Whether you’re looking to take part in an engaging game, join a calming workshop, enjoy live entertainment, or simply spend time with your neighbours, there will be something for everyone — children, adults, and families alike.

Activities will be spread across the churchyard and other nearby locations, hosted by local businesses and community groups who are passionate about making Stratford a healthier, happier place for all. Download the trail map below to help you explore Stratford and discover all the exciting activities on the day!

Here’s a look at some of the activities and partners taking part:

  • St John’s Church: music, fun games for all ages, including table tennis, a smoothie bike, frozen yoghurt stands, and fantastic activities organised by the Working Well Trust;
  • Dr Bike on the Broadway;
  • City Bouldering willl offer introductory and family sessions throughout the day — a chance not to be missed!
  • Stop by an exciting art exhibition along the way;
  • Visit the Mary Ward Centre and take part in one of their courses;
  • Discover The Source and its exciting new café;
  • Enjoy performances from the Dancing City festival;
  • Don’t forget to check out the UEL campuses and the activities they’re organising as part of Wellbeing Week.

Also happening on the same day is another popular event — the Dancing City festival, which we’re proud to sponsor! This year’s alfresco dance takeover will unfold in the Town Centre and The Source, featuring two powerful performances:

Fragments of Us – Celebrating the endless possibilities of Black masculinity, this dance-theatre performance combines fluid movement and poignant poetry to reveal snapshots of joy, struggle, love, and loss. With rhythmic beats and soulful expression, it paints striking images of brotherhood and the richness of community, layered with personal storytelling to create a moving testimony to collective history and identity.

When Jazz Meets Hip Hop – The UEL Dance Collective has collaborated with Jade Hackett on a piece exploring the connection between jazz (inspired by the Harlem Renaissance) and hip-hop culture. The performance delves into how both genres — musical languages of rebellion and empowerment — also bring joy, unity, and healing. Jazz remains a vital force in today’s culture, evolving alongside hip-hop into the future.

No registration is required — but we’d appreciate it if you could let us know if you plan to attend, as it will help us prepare for the day. Come along to explore, connect, and celebrate our community at this exciting event — we can’t wait to see you there!
