Safer Stratford
Safety remains our number one priority. A safer Stratford for our businesses, residents and visitors is the foundation of a successful Stratford. Here are some of our key initatives.
Our Ambassador
Our ambassador Michael, carries out regular patrols, reports issues, works with partnership agencies and liaises with all our businesses day in day out. This bespoke support to Stratford businesses includes delivering our printed newsletter, supporting businesses with enquiries, anti-social behaviour concerns and more.
Safer Stratford Business Crime Reduction Partnership
The Safer Stratford Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP), is our local partnership which made it easier and faster to report crime, share intelligence and tackle prolific offenders. Through the partnership you can access the Alert! platform to report crimes, see prolific offenders in the area and connect with your neighbours.
Intelligence Sharing
In partnership with Safer Stratford BCRP we host bi-weekly briefings to share up-to-date intelligence on crimes in the area and monthly patrols to report public realm issues.
Strong relationship with Town Centre Police Team
Everyone’s safety remains our paramount priority. We continue to deliver effective solutions to make Stratford an even safer place and work closely with the Stratford Town Centre Police Team.
Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls
We are working to create a safer public environment for all women and girls. We support initiatives that tackle violence against women and girls (VAWG) by working with key partners and are signatures on the Women’s Night Safety Charter.
Training and Support
With business crime always evolving, we continue to provide businesses with the latest information and support through regular meetings, briefings, training and one-to-one advice. Members can access free training on Ask for Angela and WAVE through the bid.
Stratford Future – Platform Relaunch
The updated platform brings together the latest planning, development and regeneration information in one accessible place. Over the last eight weeks, we have been working closely with developers, planners, the Newham Local Plan team, the London Legacy Development Corporation, and communication agencies to gather the most up-to-date information available. Our…
FIFA World Cup 2026: Supporting Safe and Welcoming Communities
Although matches are taking place overseas, major sporting events can have a local impact, driving increased footfall across hospitality, retail and leisure venues, particularly on key match days. This presents valuable opportunities for businesses but also reinforces the importance of partnership working to ensure our communities remain safe, welcoming and…
